 What is functional nutritional therapy?

Functional Nutritional Therapy is a holistic approach to nutrition. A FNTP (Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner) uses a combination of diet, lifestyle, and supplementation to address the root cause, deficiencies, and imbalances in the body instead of masking symptoms. Nutritional therapy is not a quick fix magic pill or diet. We will tune into what your body needs so that you can reclaim your wellness and life.

Functional Nutritional Therapy Is bio-individual, meaning it is unique to you and your journey. There is no one size fits all diet.

Nutritional Therapy is based off of

It also relies on five foundations

  • DIGESTION - good digestion is essential to absorb the nutrients you eat.

  • BLOOD SUGAR - Stable blood sugar provides stable energy and less stress on your body.

  • FATTY ACID BALANCE - Helps to balance energy and hormones, and is essential for brain health.

  • MINERAL BALANCE - Minerals are key to many of the body’s processes.

  • HYDRATION - Water is your body’s most important nutrient.

Testimonials

“Karen was so kind and easy to work with. She carefully explained not only what I needed to do to improve my health, but also told me about the body systems and reasons behind why I was having issues. She showed me how symptoms that I thought were random were actually connected, and things that I thought I would just have to live with forever could be improved. She worked with me to make changes that were sustainable with my lifestyle, and gave me different options so I wasn’t overwhelmed. Karen is very knowledgeable, holistically minded, and I would highly recommend her if you are looking to find the real causes behind health problems you can’t seem to get rid of.” Victoria H.

“It has been such a great experience working with Karen. She is extremely knowledgeable and I have learned a lot about drainage, foundations, etc during our time working together. She is a great listener and always answers my questions thoughtfully and gracefully. In our current day, it has become almost impossible to find a great practitioner, but I am so happy that I found Karen.” Laura H.
